In July 2020, Parsha and Pomeroon Trading signed a strategic partnership agreement, committing to developing agribusiness together in Suriname.
Parsha leverages Pomeroon's successful strategies for multiple-crop plantation development and sustainable approach to agriculture.
Pomeroon supports Parsha's vision to build a sustainable agriculture company: vertically integrated, focused on exports and rooted in social and environmental responsibility.
Pomeroon grows coconuts, spices and high-value crops in neighbouring Guyana, the "breadbasket of the Caribbean". They have planted 700 acres with coconut trees and intercrops on their Stoll Estate in the Pomeroon River basin and have established the largest seedling nursery in the Caribbean.
The company has already invested several million dollars in Guyana and aims to become the region's largest grower and producer of coconut water and coconut oil.
Their vision is to build a sustainable agriculture company with a strong social mission and active environmental stewardship. Further to stimulating the local economy and supporting community projects, they have cleared waterways, invested in drainage and re-planted tens of thousands of trees.
Pomeroon are a seamlessly integrated grower and processor, with plans to rapidly expand their operations. By combining best practice agricultural applications with innovative processing facilities, they harvest the full potential of large scale agriculture.
Their approach is built on the solid foundation of 'high quality', ensuring that end-products command premium market prices, both local and export.
